Monday Pay and Play mixed ability football session – WOMEN ONLY (18+) #JUSTPLAY
Eligibility: Open Session – The FA Just Play sessions are 100% fun football sessions designed for women that just want to play football.

AFC Leyton is a unique female only football club, that trains in Walthamstow (behind Sainsburys Low Hall). On Mondays we have an open training session for adult females. These sessions are mixed ability which means that absolute beginners are welcome. The ages range from 18 years of age to 60 years.

The session aims to help local women

  • try football for the first time
  • offer extra fitness sessions for those that used to play and want to get back into football
  • have moderate football skills and want some extra practice
  • meet new local people
  • get outdoors and get fit in the fresh air

Players are expected to dress for the weather, so thermals or tracksuits in the winter and shorts and tees in the summer. Shin pads are recommended on these sessions. They are on floodlit astro (no mud!) Bring water and smiles 🙂

We are located at Salisbury Hall Playing Fields which is Walthamstow Avenue E4 8ST. This is behind Sainsbury’s Low Hall and can only be accessed via the Sainsburys car park. If you are using a sat nav/maps this may try to send you to Goals – so please use the postcode rather than the name when setting your journey.

There is free parking for up to 3 hours on the car park which we share with Sainsbury’s. Drive to the rear of the store and enter through the white gates.

The nearest train stations are Highams Park (overground) – 15min walk (5 mins cycle/taxi) and Walthamstow (vic line) 30 min walk (10 mins cycle/taxi).

We can also be accessed via bus routes 34, 97, 215, 158, 397, W11 to Walthamstow Stadium or Sainsbury’s Low Hall/Salisbury Hall.
