AFC Leyton was created in 2015, to provide a dedicated hub for female football in East London.
After bringing in over 600 competitive female youth players, AFC Leyton’s Womens Team was created in 2021 and fully competitive from September 2021.
They currently play in the GLWFL Premier Division after winning Division North 1 in 2024/25.
In 2021/22, they won Division North 2 and promoted to Division North 1.
