AFC Leyton was created in 2015, to provide a dedicated hub for female football in East London.
After bringing in over 600 competitive female youth players, AFC Leyton’s Women’s Team was created in 2021 and fully competitive from September 2021.
They currently play in the GLWFL Premier Division and have qualified for the Women’s FA Cup

2021 – First Team Formed
2021/22 – Division North 2 Winners
2022/23 Promoted to Division North 1
2024/25 Division North 1 Winners
2025/26 Promoted to Division North Premier Featured for first time win Women’s FA Cup
2026/27 Retained place in Premier division and place in Women’s FA Cup.
