SERVICE TERMS

Introduction 

These service terms (the “Terms“) applies to services and arrangements provided by AFC Leyton (the “Club“) by use of a registration system provided by Spond AS (“Spond“). The Club’s Policies and Procedures found here applies in addition to these Terms.   

For the purpose of these Terms, the service or arrangement to which you have registered yourself or others is called the “Service“.     

Age limit for enrolment  

The age limit for enrolment on the Service is [16] years.  

Payment and price 

These trials are totally free to attend. Any further offers made may involve payments and will be explained to you as/when required.

Termination  

If the Service is terminable, termination can be done by logging on to Spond with your username and password. If a termination notice period was agreed when you entered enrolled to the Service such notice period will appear from the order confirmation and also when you log on to [My Spond] at Spond.com.    

[The Club may terminate the agreement with immediate effect if the user of the Service materially breaches these Terms or any other of the Club’s rules. The Club can also terminate the Agreement in case of non-payment, provided that you have been given a reasonable notice to correct such payment default.] 

Processing of personal data 

The Club is the controller of personal data which the Club is processing in connection with its provision of the Service. The Club’s privacy policy which can be found here applies.  

Changes and cancellation 

The Club will do its best to adequately notify about any changes to the Service, cancellations etc. Such changes, cancellations etc. do not give you the right to claim reimbursement of fees or other costs, and the Club is not liable for any damages which may be incurred by participants, guardians or others. 

[Photography & Media] 

The club may take photos or record media for future use during the trials. We will never knowingly sell or distribute this media to any 3rd parties. However we are unable to offer any guarantee the media will go no further then our own, owned platforms. If you require images to be removed due to welfare or safeguarding issues please contact our club welfare – welfare@afcleyton.co.uk and this will be removed at your request.

[Accident & Injury] 

1. Acknowledgment of Risk
I, give permission for my child to participate in the football trials hosted by AFC Leyton (the “Club”).
    • I understand that football is a physical contact sport.
    • I acknowledge that despite the Club taking all reasonable safety precautions, there are inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to sprains, fractures, concussions, and collisions.
    • I confirm that my child is physically fit, healthy, and capable of participating in strenuous physical activity.

2. Medical Conditions and Consent
Please inform us prior to your trial of any medical conditions, allergies, or regular medications the coaches should be aware of (e.g., asthma, diabetes, epipen requirements):
    • In the event of an emergency, illness, or injury during the trial, I authorise the Club’s qualified staff or first-aiders to administer essential first aid.
    • If emergency hospital treatment is required and I cannot be contacted immediately, I authorise the Club to sign any medical consent forms required by hospital authorities on my behalf.

3. Limitation of Liability (UK Law Compliant)
    • The Club, its coaches, and volunteers accept no liability for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property sustained during the trials, except where such injury or death is directly caused by the proven negligence of the Club or its staff.
    • The Club does not accept liability for injuries caused by the natural hazards of the game, player-to-player accidental collisions, or pre-existing medical conditions.

4. Code of Conduct
  • I agree that my child will follow the instructions of the coaching staff and behave respectfully toward other players.
  • I have read and understand the Clubs code of Conduct on their website and agree to adhere to it.

[Other] 

As a female only club, only females may apply for our trials. For the sake of clarity, this is classed as the gender at birth. This meets the requirements as laid out by the F.A. (Football Association).
