We are a part of the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme, which recognises outstanding young people aged 11-25 across London and Essex.
AFC Leyton’s Jack Petchey Achievement Award winners are players who have gone above and beyond to achieve.
Each year, AFC Leyton recognises 6 Achievement Award winners and Jack Petchey invests £250 per winner into the club as part of the scheme.
The Achievement Awards may be used to recognise a personal triumph for someone who has faced a challenge, a player who has pushed themselves outside of their comfort zone or it may be an opportunity to recognise the outstanding efforts as a team player.
An important part of the scheme is the involvement of our players in selecting the winners for their hard work and efforts. We want young people to recognise and celebrate the success of their peers.
Each award winner will receive a certificate, pin badge and a book from Sir Jack himself. They also choose how to spend a £250 grant per winner to benefit our club.
All award winners are invited to attend a Jack Petchey Gala and are presented with a medallion in front of their families, friends and VIP’s.
