AFC Leyton Girls U11s hit the ground running in 2017 in their first game back after the festive break.

Goals flew in from all angles on the pitch with six different scorers against a game Hutton side, who fought to the end nearly capitalising on one slip.

Lily-Rose notched up her third hat trick of the season. Joni scored two including the opener and was close to getting her hat trick. Amber scored two, including one being contender of goal of the first half, along with a great effort from Torri who went in goal second half. Jolie added one her play deserved in the second half with a clinical finish. Temi added even more attacking flair to the team in the second half if that was possible, coupled with her defensive work after playing in goal first half, and was unlucky also not to score.
The passing, hold up play and team work which led to goals and numerous chances was outstanding.

A special mention to Julia who set up two of Lily-Rose’s goals on a plate, with some devastating runs down the left with a combination of penetrating crosses, brilliant interplay and an individual goal for herself being the end results. Her other goal was the result of great work to keep the ball in by Joni and the move worked the ball to Julia on the edge of the box. Only one outcome! Player of the match in this observers eyes.
