Why join Wildcats
We are an official England Football programme provider for the Wildcats sessions. All our sessions are led by our own coaches who are all first aid trained, meeting FA training requirements with DBS clearance. Our volunteers support our lead coaches and are also all DBS cleared.
All our development sessions such as this are overseen by a lead coach – Brogan, who is not only a lead for development sessions, she also coach’s in our youth teams and she is our first team captain! AFC Leyton DNA runs through her veins and she is a great role model to the youth, up and coming players. Speaking and coaching from first hand experience.
Being an independent women and girls only club, means everything we do is orientated towards building confidence and character, both on and off the field. We want young girls to fall in love with football in the first instance, then build on their ability and develop them to not only play with confidence but actually believe in their own ability too.
Many of our registered squad players started their football journeys in our development sessions and through their own dedication and commitment, playing in all weathers, listening to their coaches and working hard, have been pulled in for trials. Our coaching team are always looking for potential players to make the move. If and when they feel they are ready they will be invited to trial for a team when we have openings. Some players are happy just playing socially and are not looking to play for a team and this is absolutely fine also.
All abilities are welcome to our sessions.
Since joining Wildcats in January last year, I’ve grown so much in confidence.
The coaches have helped me recognise my strengths in football and shown me how to improve my weaknesses. Every week I look forward to the 18:00 session – I get to enjoy playing football with the new friends I’ve made and learn new skills too!
I’m really grateful to all the volunteer coaches who give up their time each week to let us girls have fun and feel free.
The best part about the sessions is that there’s no pressure to be perfect – it’s all about making mistakes and learning from them.
Thank you, Wildcats team!

Wildcats really helped build the foundation to turn Molly into a strong little player.
She attended weekly, enjoying the sessions and making new friends. The coaches were friendly, energetic and patient. This allowed the girls to learn without even realising they were learning.
Prior to wildcats, Molly had never kicked a ball before. She was spotted during the sessions and asked to trial for one of the clubs teams where she was signed to a team and has been ever since. Now playing for the U14’s team.
If you want your player in a wholesome environment, with a full focus on long term player development and not short term wins, sign up, you wont regret it.
